Invasive Species Awareness Week

This week, July 28th to August 2nd, is Invasive Species Awareness Week! There will be information shared through our social media, our website, and newsletter, so stay tuned for more information. This week we try to raise awareness of the threat invasive species can pose to native plants, animals and environments. It is important that members of the community are aware of these threats and participate in monitoring, removing or just recording observations of invasives. These recordings can provide data that scientists, managers and community members can use to be able to effectively remove invasive species, restricting the impacts and spread throughout the environment.
