In celebration of Lake Appreciation Month, Pigeon Lake Watershed Association is excited to announce the Lake Appreciation Photography Contest! We know this lake has a special place in so many lives, and we want to see what makes this place special to you!

Submit your best photo for each of our three categories - Lake, Land, and Sky - showcasing the beauty and enjoyment of Pigeon Lake for a chance to win prizes and prestige. The contest is open to all skill levels, whether you are using a professional camera or a smartphone.

A panel of judges appointed by the PLWA will select the top four photos in each category. Those photos will then be made available for public voting. The photo with the most votes in each category will be awarded a prize pack. The photo with the most votes overall will be awarded our grand prize: a set of handmade mugs from local artist, Margot Solstice, of Barnswallow Corner Studio.

Join us in celebrating a lake that connects our community, and appreciate the value of our wonderful natural spaces. Grab your camera, head outdoors, and start snapping!

Please note only photos taken within the Pigeon Lake Watershed are eligible for this contest. Submission opens on July 1 at 12:00am and closes on July 31 at 11:59pm. Any photos submitted outside of this window will be deemed ineligible for this contest. Entry is limited to one photo per category per person. Full contest rules and regulations are available below:
