For eight years Peggy Juchli organized the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Pigeon Lake from 2006 - 2013. During that time 500 volunteers covered the entire Pigeon Lake shoreline and collected 12,366 lbs of garbage.

In 2019, PLWA revived the program. With the help of the Mamawo Mimiw Sikahikan Working Group, there were 21 volunteers who collected over 1 500 items of garbage from the Pigeon Lake South Campground shoreline.

PLWA looks forward to continuing the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Pigeon Lake in 2020.
