1910 - Mulhurst Prairie Fire

“…the fire of 1910 made Mulhurst look like prairie country.” Albert Knight was credited with helping the Mulhurst pupils and teacher Emma Robinson, reach safety along the shore of Pigeon Lake after sighting smoke to the south. The class and teacher trekked through the swamp to the lakeshore while fleeing the fire.
